"Perc"
The solvent used in traditional drycleaning (known as perchloroethylene or “perc”) is a very aggressive chemical. If “perc” is in contact with sensitive dyes and ornaments on clothes for a long period, it can damage them. To minimize such damage, traditional drycleaners shorten the drycleaning cycle. Unfortunately, this sometimes leads to incomplete removal of soils from garments.
In contrast, organic drycleaning employs a newly developed solvent that is less harmful to garments than traditional drycleaning solvents. In addition to being environmentally friendlier than “perc,” organic cleaning gives you
- Whiter garments
- Brigher colors
- Longer garment life
- Softer feel
